A Shepherd

...guiding his flock. From the Confirmation Rite in the Extraordinary Form last Friday. Or why I fought traffic to get there and why others did, too. Hat tip to Philip Johnson.

I THOUGHT that may have been where you were. Delivering his message while seated is a nice link to Judaism/Jesus' teaching method.

It was fascinating to see the reverence, the hush, and having the schola chanting Confirma hoc from the loft.

Very nice to see the veils and modest clothing.

And of course, being with our Shepherd as he is telling the Confirmandi what they are taking on.

Traffic was horrible getting there and the Devil tried very hard to keep some people from getting there.

I was one of those people who the devil kept from being with my Bishop at this great and holy occasion.

I pray all was magnificent
