American Passionist priest to become Bishop of Mandeville (Jamaica)

The Holy Father has nominated The Rev. Fr. Neil Tiedemann, C.P., as Bishop of Mandeville, Jamaica. Fr. Tiedemann was born in Brooklyn NY and raised on Long Island. He was ordained in 1975 at our Immaculate Conception Monastery in Jamaica, NY. Since his ordination, Fr Neil has primarily served in Hispanic Ministry at parishes in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey. He helped to start Passionist ministries in Central America. Prior to his nomination, he served as Provincial Consultor for the Passionist Congregation in the eastern United States.
