Happy Feast Day!

Dear Friends, Happy Feast of the Epiphany! There's so much to look forward to this coming new year, one of which is the second volume of Jesus of Nazareth and another is the Missa Cantata here in my corner of the world.

Here are some of my favorite images. I think the Gentile da Fabriano must be my most favorite. I was quite content to just stand and stare at it in the Uffizi in Florence.

Konrad von Soest (1370-1425), Altar of the Church Nieder-Wildungen

Rogier van der Weyden, St. Columba Altarpiece, 1455

And the luminous Fra Angelico
