Fr. Reese chimes in on Bishop Zubik appointment

Bishop Zubik fits a pattern of Pope Benedict choosing intellectually savvy men with diplomatic personalities, said the Rev. Thomas Reese, a senior fellow at Georgetown University's Woodstock Theological Center, who studies the Catholic hierarchy.

Pope Benedict is "not looking for people who are aggressive or confrontational," he said.
Oooh, aren't we a tad condescending.

Hi Argent,

I started a second (actually, I think it's my fifth) blog which provides links to online books, articles, podcasts, and videos; while searching for content I came across a book you may be interested in. It's not in copyright and if you click on the pdf version you can print out the music. It is entitled: The Catholic hymnal : containing hymns for congregational and home use and the Vesper psalms, the office of Compline, the litanies, hymns at Benediction, etc and was published in 1909. I'm guessing the music isn't of the "Glory and Praise" kind.
